Company History
The Beginning
The story that began in 1951. The FASTER story began in the world
of automotive racing. Its philosophy of safe and technically innovative
quick-release couplings comes from the needs and idiosyncrasies of the
automotive and competition world.
1951
Paolo Arosio and Luigi Barbiroli founded the company in Melzo (Milan) with the
name OMBA. The first products were lathed metal parts for the automobile market.
1978
The first quick-release coupling design. The first patent was registered with the
brand FASTER® and later lent its name to the company.
1983
The first delivery was made to an important manufacturer of agricultural machinery.
1992
FASTER’s Quality Management System was certified according to the ISO 9002 and received
the A.G.A. (American Gas Association) approval. The first company in the world in the
quick-release couplings market to be certified. FASTER Inc. was built in Maumee, Ohio, USA.
1996
Another important milestone was reached: certification of the Quality Management System to
UNI EN ISO 9001. The new headquarters in Rivolta d’Adda (Cremona) was constructed.
2003
FASTER was the first in the world in its category to receive UNI ISO/TS 16949 certification:
the international standard for the world automobile industry for design, development and
production of components.
2004
Expanded product offering and new markets added to those already consolidated. Investments grow.
The production plant is enlarged.
2005
First company in Italy to receive UL approved and certification for series production of the RF
Refrigeration and Conditioning products, File No. SA13163 .
2006
FASTER Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd. was established in Bangalore, India.
2007
FASTER Brasil Equipamentos Hidráulicos Ltda was established in São Paulo, Brazil.
