RFL Series

RFL Series
Heavy Duty Female Refrigerant Coupling
Features
The RFL series was added to FASTER’s product line to address those customers needs for a traditional refrigerant coupling that is easier to connect and capable of hundreds of connect/ disconnect cycles. Refrigeration couplings can be difficult to connect and disconnect. The reason is the high friction between the body and union sleeve. This friction is typically so high you need to use wrenches to connect. FASTER’s RFL Heavy Duty female coupling uses patent pending technology to dramatically reduce friction and provide the leverage needed to connect against pressure by hand. Substitute the Standard Duty RF Series female with the Heavy Duty Series RFL female and gain the ability to connect refrigerant lines under pressure. The RFL Series also allows you to connect/ disconnect under full operating pressure to 300 to 500 cycles depending on lubrication and system conditions. A wrench is only needed for final torque! Interchangeable with RF Series and competitive couplings. Contact FASTER for more details. UL Listing in process.

RFLS Series

RFLS Series
Wrench-less Refrigerant Coupling
Features
The new FASTER RFLS Wrench-Less coupling uses a unique and patent pending low friction connecting mechanism, combined with a double lead thread to allow the operator to connect refrigerant and fluid lines, without the use of tools and while under pressure. It only takes 2 turns of the double lead sleeve to complete the connection. When the low profile coupling is properly threaded together, a color coded ‘Locking Sleeve’ automatically snaps in place. The coupling can not be inadvertently disconnected. The RFLS can not be operated in a partially connected position if the safety sleeve is locked in place. The unique low friction sleeve imparts virtually no twist to any hose used with the female, so damage to connecting hoses is eliminated. UL Listing in process.

RF-CS Series

RF-CS Series
Refrigerant Coupling w/ Copper Sweat Connection
Features
Ideal for Commercial Refrigeration systems or other AC&R applications where connecting a pre-charged remote condenser to the evaporator can speed installation or where periodic maintenance requires the evaporator to be temporarily disconnected. Thread together latch system allows connecting and disconnecting under system pressure. Flush style valves eliminate refrigerant spillage and air inclusion upon connection and disconnection. Integral copper sweat fitting allows brazing directly to system copper tubing, eliminating an adapter. Special stainless steel Delta shaped seal provides a secure seal while coupled, assuring less than .10 oz. / year leakage (R22 equivalent) or (<2.8 grams / yr.). Available in 3/8”, ½”, ¾” and 1” configurations. Interchangeable with competitive couplings (see Cross Reference list).

FFC Series

FFC Series
Self-centering Coupling
Features
FASTER’s Self Centering series of couplings are intended for applications in removable plates and fixed manifolds. The FFC Series is designed to provide for misalignment when mounted into suitable housings designed into OEM’s equipment. These couplings are able to compensate for misalignment during connection of ± .5mm on the XY plane and ± 1°on the Z axis. Given this level of misalignment, the coupling “self centers” the internal valves by way of a patented devise, so seals fully recover optimum sealing characteristics for best leakage resistance, once full connection has been achieved. Contact FASTER for more details.
